Cell culture stretching device
Cell Stretching and Compression Stimulus Device
● Cells in the body are constantly subjected to various (periodic and intermittent) mechanical stimuli. In contrast, such stimuli are absent in conventional static culture (In Vitro). As a result, cultured cells in static conditions differ from cells in the body (In Vivo) in many ways. The cultured cell stretching device is a system that allows cells to be cultured in conditions closer to the in vivo environment by applying periodic uniaxial (or biaxial*) stretching and compression stimuli to the cultured cells. ● It can be used for research on various adhesive cells such as endothelial, smooth muscle, epithelial, cardiac, adipose, skeletal muscle, fibroblast, osteoblast, and cartilage, as well as for studies related to regenerative medicine. ● It can set up 64 different stimulation patterns with 8 combinations of stretching and compression rates and 8 combinations of stimulation frequencies. ● The system has excellent expandability, and when used for large-scale culture, it can be applied to biochemical experiments at the gene and protein levels. ● The ultra-thin silicone membrane chamber allows for various fluorescence imaging observations.
